Lingua franca-a language that people of different ethnic groups use as inter-ethnic(or inter-national) communication tool. ( for several centures it was  French language-that's why they call it "lingua franca-French language")

Some facts about the USA:


1.       The US is the 4th largest country in the world by land area and 3rd by population.       The US  population in 2018 was 327 million people.
3.       The US has the world's largest economy.
4.       Alaska was purchased from Russia in 1867 and is the largest state in the US by land area.
5.       Hawaii is the most recent of the 50 states in the US (joining in 1959) and is the only one made up entirely of islands.
6.       The most populated city in the US is New York City, followed by Los Angeles and Chicago.

7.       English is the most commonly spoken language in the US, followed by Spanish.
